The tool helps you to align your headstock back with your tailstock after using it in 'outboard' mode or when you see that it's out of alignment - Often found when turning pens as a small amount of misalignment can cause problems.

This is the MT2 (Morse Taper 2), we also have available in MT1. Check your lathe to see which size morse taper is required.
